The 2012 Student Gift

The 2012 Student Gift is a senior-led student philanthropy effort that will establish an Internship Grant Fund to provide vital support for Vassar students who are participating in low-pay and unpaid internships. Facilitated by the Career Development Office, the Internship Grant Fund will provide students the opportunity to accept low-pay or unpaid internships that will enhance their future career plans. Without funding, students may be put in a position where they are forced to decline an internship opportunity that could provide invaluable professional development and shape their future paths upon graduation.

The 2012 Student Gift Committee is challenging the student body to come together in support of such a worthy cause—and break records in the process. If 1900 students participate in this effort by giving a gift, an anonymous alumna will congratulate the student body with a $10,000 match to the Internship Grant Fund.
