Vassar’s Annual Fund

It isn’t a “catch-all.” It’s the sum total of the Vassar experience – of everything that makes Vassar, Vassar. Unrestricted dollars from alumnae/i, family and friends play a vital role in sustaining the College, each and every day of each and every year.

Significantly, the idea for Vassar’s Annual Fund did not come from administration or faculty, but from a group of concerned alumnae who were looking for a way to give back to their alma mater. The beauty of it is that it allows everyone – no matter his or her means, no matter the size of the gift – the opportunity to give back to our College. Since an Annual Fund donation is unrestricted money, a gift to Vassar’s Annual Fund in any amount represents a particularly powerful vote of confidence in the College.

If Access to Excellence and Science for the 21^st Century represent the key initiatives in our Vassar 150: World Changing campaign, then Vassar’s Annual Fund represents the solid foundation without which no initiatives could occur. Vassar’s Annual Fund also looks to the future, because increasing alumnae/i participation in giving is absolutely vital to the College’s well-being in the coming decades.
